Responding to Behavior in a Trauma-Informed Way | RBT PDU

This 1-hour professional development training focuses on implementing behavior intervention plans in ways that are both effective and trauma-informed. Participants will learn how to respond to challenging behavior while minimizing unnecessary distress, preserving client dignity, and remaining within the RBT scope of practice. Strategies for de-escalation, ethical decision-making, and knowing when to involve the supervising BCBA will be emphasized. Learning Objectives Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to: Identify trauma-informed response principles. Modify delivery without changing the BIP. Implement de-escalation ethically. Recognize when to seek supervision. PDU Requirements This training provides 1 hour of professional development for RBTs. To receive PDU documentation, participants must complete the required training content, achieve at least 80% on the knowledge check, and submit the PDU Completion Information form at the end of the program.
