This 1-hour professional development training explores how communication influences emotional safety, regulation, and therapeutic rapport. Participants will learn how word choice, tone, pacing, and nonverbal communication can either increase or reduce stress during ABA sessions. Practical strategies for communicating with clients, caregivers, and team members in ways that promote dignity, respect, and collaboration will be emphasized. Learning Objectives Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to: Identify language that may increase stress or shame. Use regulation-supportive communication strategies. Adjust tone and pacing during instruction. Model respectful communication with clients and teams. PDU Requirements This training provides 1 hour of professional development for RBTs. To receive PDU documentation, participants must complete the required training content, achieve at least 80% on the knowledge check, and submit the PDU Completion Information form at the end of the program.
